Scope and Contents

This collection contains both materials authored by Hanko and those which he collected on topics of interest to him, as well as materials written about him (book reviews, newspaper clippings), and correspondence. Sermons, pamphlets, book drafts, and numerous letters to the editor are included in these materials, largely concerning evangelical or fundamentalist Christianity, American politics, economics, the Republican party, and religious-based education in the United States.

Abstract Harold V. Gaskill was born in Fayette County, Ohio, on February 3, 1905. He joined the faculty at Iowa State College (University) as an assistant professor of psychology in 1930 and served as Dean of the Division of Science and Director of Industrial Science Research from 1938-1955.
