The collection (1991-1996) contains news clippings, focus group studies, questionnaires, and reports. Over half of the collection is material related to the campus climate focus group studies. These materials include transcripts of group interviews, reports on emerging themes from the interviews, and brief summaries of each group discussion. The transcripts retain their confidential nature by not including names of participants except for that of the moderator.
Iowa State University. Task Force on Assuring Successful VEISHEA and Other Student/Community Celebrations records
The Telecommunicative Arts Program, which began at Iowa State University in the early 1950s, was designed for students interested in studying radio, television, and film production. This collection includes information on courses offered in this discipline, students’ projects and papers, the development of the program, and pictures and scrapbooks with news clippings which illustrate the history of the Telecommunicative Arts Program.

This collection (1906-2002, undated) contains biographical information, correspondence, research materials, publications, and talks of Dr. Irving E. Melhus. The research materials, publications, and talks focus on corn, potatoes, and rusts. The papers also contain information about the Guatemala Tropical Research Center, which Melhus established and directed. These materials contain reports, photographs, and correspondence relating to the work of the Center.
This collection (1965-2007, undated) contains biographical information on James Prescott and reports and other published works he authored on urban-regional economics, rural economic development, and government subsidized housing and agricultural programs. Some of the papers are a result of consulting work he did, such as reports on the Minnesota experimental city project and an economic development plan for Tehran, Iran.
The collection (1918-1985, undated) contains many of Lush’s published scientific journal articles, notes on his research in animal breeding, reel-to-reel audio tapes of lectures, and animal husbandry class notes. In addition, the collection includes swine related USDA publications, notes from his speaking engagements, and professional and student correspondence. There are also slides from national and international travels and Lush family photographs in the collection.

A large part of the collection includes minutes and related correspondence for meetings of the Agriculture and Natural Resources section of Iowa State University Extension. Also included is a report that documents Olson’s role in the publication of several Landscape Architecture Extension newsletters and his notes for staff meetings of the Department of Landscape Architecture.
This collection (1993-2014) contains newspaper clippings, biographical information, and student research papers documenting Johnny Orr’s coaching career at Iowa State. These materials were collected and organized by members of the ISU Special Collections and University Archives staff.
Jon Tollefson was a professor in the Iowa State University Department of Entomology until his retirement in 2010. His research focused on crop pests, specifically corn rootworms. The collection contains published scientific journal articles, course information, grant proposals, various insecticide reports, and field test slides.
This report, Geological Survey Bureau Technical Information Series 30, is based on interviews with Mary Bankes as well as records she kept during the operation of Big Spring. Bankes discusses the history of Big Spring and the many hardships that she and her husband faces. Also included are historical and current statistics on the spring and hatchery.

The illustrations include work Kordus did as a student at Iowa State in the class Textiles and Clothing 245, Design Elements and Principles. Examples of some of her advertisement illustrations for L.S. Ayres are also included in the collection.
LeRoy Getting was an Iowa politician and farm leader. He served as a State Senator (1959-1963) in the Iowa General Assembly and as Director (1946-1958) of the Iowa Farm Bureau. This collection documents Getting’s work in Republican Party politics, farm policy, and international trade. Files related to two agricultural trade missions to Europe are included in this collection.
