Arnold Family papers

Abstract

The Lloyd E. Arnold family counts at least two members as graduates of Iowa State University: Lloyd and his daughter Donna. This collection contains materials related to these two members of the Arnold family and their time at Iowa State. The collection contains diplomas, letters, marriage certificates, photographs of Iowa State's VEISHEA festival, and a diary documenting Lloyd's work marketing and growing alfalfa seed.

Earl Douglass papers

This collection (1893-2005, undated) contains material related to Earl Douglass and his work in paleontology. The collection includes articles written about Douglass and his work, poetry written by Douglass, and a Register of Papers contained in the Special Collections Department of the University of Utah Libraries. The collection also contains two oversized items: a composite photograph of the Iowa State graduating class of 1893 and his diploma from Iowa State.

Helen Blanch (Vermeer) Hayes papers

The collection (1917-1946, undated) contains biographical information, photographs, diplomas, a baby book and loose scrapbook pages. The scrapbook pages include many scenic vacation photographs and images of possible family members, though almost all the photographs are unidentified. Helen’s school autograph book was likely completed while she was in junior high school and includes notes and signatures from teachers, friends, and family.

Henry Hugh Dukes papers

The collection consists of biographical information, awards, diplomas and certificates received by Henry Hugh Dukes. The collection also contains plaques and other three-dimensional items given to Dr. Dukes, including the Borden Award (1960) given to him by the American Veterinary Medical Association, an academic hood (1966) from Clemson University, and the Distinguished Service Achievement Citation (1977) from the Iowa State University Alumni Association.
