This collection (1845-2012) consists of Pellegreno's research material: correspondence, clippings, manuscript drafts, and biographical files relating to the history of aviation. Among the paper records, photographs, audiotapes, and ephemera is information about Lincoln Beachy, Clarence Chamberlin, Ellen Church, the Donaldson Brothers, Carl H. Duede, Ila Fox, Neil J. McCoubrey, Clarence Norton, Eddie Rickenbacker, the Wright Brothers, and several Iowa air shows.
This collection contains Clark Mollenhoff's subject files on John Vincent Atanasoff and the J. V. Atanasoff Trial; ca. 1970's-90. Atanasoff developed a prototype of the Atanasoff Berry Computer (ABC) at Iowa State University in 1939, though a final version was never completed.
This collection (1971) contains a typed manuscript of Hawkins's book, Buggies, Blizzards, and Babies, published by the Iowa State University Press in 1971. Each chapter is kept separate and the preface, table of contents, dedication, and cutlines for photographs used at the beginning of each chapter are at the beginning of the collection.

It also includes the typed manuscript of "A Century of Home Economics at Iowa State University", and a bound copy of "Syllabus in Nutrition and Dietetics".
This manuscript (1972) for Nothing to Make a Shadow (published in 1972) was donated to the Department by the Iowa State University Press. Consisting of 20 chapters, the edited typescript pages detail the 1909 homesteading story of the Cashatt family in Tripp County, South Dakota.

This collection (circa 1890s, undated) contains biographical information about Laura A. Sunderlin Nourse and drafts of her book The Lyric of Life... (Buffalo: Charles Wells Moulton, 1892). A copy of the author's edition of The Lyric of Life... is in the rare books collection and may be found by searching the library catalog.
