Elizur Andrews business ledgers
The collection (1864-1878) contains two ledgers. The first volume (1867-1878) contains detailed accounts of his farm organization, inventory, plantings, crop harvesting, and sales. The second volume (1864) (entitled Index Rerum of Agriculture by Elizur Andrews, Southington, Connecticut, March 5, 1864) contains agricultural recipes and citations from agricultural works.

Iowa Bankers Association records
The Iowa Bankers Association (IBA), founded in June 1887, was formed to represent Iowa banks in front of Iowa legislature and to provide a way for individual bankers to gather and exchange ideas on the business of banking. This collection includes reports, correspondence, ledgers, photographs, films, audiotapes, videotapes, and artifacts. The materials cover bank robberies and other bank-related crimes, administrative activities, legislation, and marketing.
John Clark Salyer field journal
The collection (1932) consists of a handwritten field journal belonging to John Clark Salyer while working for the Iowa Fish and Game Commission. The journal primarily documents Iowa’s fish populations and habitats, but also includes descriptions of local people and anecdotes on Iowa’s place and river names. The journal refers to locations mainly in the north-central and northeastern portions of Iowa.

This collection (1939-1987, undated) contains the record books of Joseph Ludwig. Each record book is dated and contains feed checks, receipts, and livestock inventories, lists of expenditures, crop records, and yearly summaries of expenditures, receipts, and net income by the Ludwig farm. Also included is biographical information about the Ludwig farm in the form of a news clipping and photographs of the farm, Joseph Ludwig, and his sister Agnes Ludwig.
Nelson Brooks Account Book
The collection (1838-1884, undated) contains an account book, receipts, and correspondence. The account book includes general accounts for farm labor, hardware, tools, cloth, drayage, assorted foodstuffs, hay, wood, and corn shelling. Other documents include receipts, correspondence and accounts.
Peterson Clothing/General Store (Slater, Iowa) business ledgers
The collection (1914-1947) contains business ledgers and material relating to the history of the Peterson Clothing/General Store. The business ledgers that document the Peterson Store accounts with suppliers of hardware, household goods, and personal consumable goods, as well as the daily business transactions of the store. In addition, the collection includes photocopies from historical books that document the history of the Peterson Store and the town of Slater, Iowa.

Stromberg Poultry Farm and Hatchery records
This collection (1922-1980, undated) contains catalogs, pamphlet samples, mail order catalogs, advertisements, business and personal correspondence, feed test papers regarding formulas and formula journals, financial records. Correspondents include Cal J. Ainsenbrey and his sister Bettie. The correspondence with his sister Bettie discuses how Stromberg started his business.
