Abstract

H. Scott Hurd was a professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University and served as Senior Epidemiologist in the Department of Veterinary Diagnostic and Production Animal Medicine. He was an expert in the epidemiology and ecology of foodborne pathogens found in livestock. This collection contains biographical information, certificates, research articles, and a report on Canadian livestock health risks he helped author.

Abstract Norman Frederick Cheville was Professor (1995-2004) and Dean (2000-2004) of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University. Prior to his work at Iowa State, Cheville served as a scientist at the National Animal Disease Center in Ames, Iowa. Abstract Richard Francis Ross was born April 30, 1935 in Washington, Iowa. He received his D.V.M. (1959), M.S. (1960) in veterinary bacteriology, and Ph.D. (1965) in veterinary bacteriology from Iowa State University.
