H. Scott Hurd was a professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University and served as Senior Epidemiologist in the Department of Veterinary Diagnostic and Production Animal Medicine. He was an expert in the epidemiology and ecology of foodborne pathogens found in livestock.
