Biographical / Historical
Lynda Lou Elizabeth Richards was born in Leavenworth KA on Sept 22 1943 to Myrlin James Richards and Mary Virginia Ralston. She graduated with a B.S. from Iowa State University in 1966 and a PhD from Washington State University in 1973. From 1976-1979 she worked as an Insect Zoo technician at the National Museum of Natural History before beginning to work at the Mark Twain National Forest in 1979. She later became the Chief Ecologist at the Mark Twain National Forest.
Richards married John Grinstead in 1997. She died in 2015.
