The Iowa Socialist Party is a state organization affiliated with and chartered by the Socialist Party of the United States of America. The organization is responsible for the nomination of candidates for state office, running election campaigns, setting up political committees and publication of a newsletter. Direct actions, political education and management of finances are also functions of the party.
