Iota Sigma Pi. Aurum Chapter records
Scope and Content
This collection (1920-1993, undated) documents the activities in which the Aurum Chapter sponsored or participated such as career-related workshops, meetings, and an annual fall picnic. It also provides an almost complete historical list of the members involved. Records from the earliest years of the Aurum Chapter, except for lists of initiates, are not available. The published organizational histories, however, do describe the early period. Starting in the 1970s, the records become more sparse, perhaps reflecting a less active chapter than was previously the case. These records are not separated by type. They are an assortment of records, labeled, "Chapter records," and organized by calendar year or academic year on each folder. The other series are self-explanatory. Although, it should it noted that "Awards: criteria and applications" folder contains materials pertaining to awards at the national level rather than the chapter level. The only award the Aurum Chapter sponsors is the Nellie Naylor Award. Some applications for this award can be found in "Chapter records, 1987-1988." There are also records from the national organization.
