The Iowa Beta Chapter of the Honor Society of Agriculture, Gamma Sigma Delta, was chartered in 1913. The objective of Gamma Sigma Delta is to encourage a high degree of excellence in the practice of agricultural pursuits and to encourage high standards of scholarship in all branches of agricultural science and education. There are three types of elected membership in the chapter - students, faculty, and alumni. Seniors may be chosen from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the College of Veterinary Medicine, and from the Department of Landscape Architecture.
