Biography/Profile
Nancy Jo Jensen Bethea graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. (1964) in Zoology. At Iowa State, she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, the Chemical Engineering Wives Club, and the Faculty Women's Club. She met her husband, Robert M. Bethea, when both were students at Iowa State.
She moved to Lubbock, Texas, in 1966 when her husband accepted a position as professor of chemical engineering at Texas Tech University. There she completed her M.S. (1968) and Ph.D. (1975). She served as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech starting in 1993.
