This collection (1882-1987, undated) contains biographical information and various writings by Della Neal. Materials include college course work and a copy of her 1882 bachelor's thesis. The collection also includes some of Neal's writings related to the temperance movement.

Della Amanda Neal was born on November 22, 1862 in Hamilton, Pennsylvania. Neal graduated from Iowa Agricultural College (Iowa State University) with a B.Sc. in 1882. After college, Neal became active in the state and national temperance movement. In 1898, she completed her nursing training and went on to become the head nurse and matron of several institutions. Della Neal died in 1959.
