The collection (1929-1966) contains the 4-H record book of Ina Fay Paul Kretschmar and her two daughters, Kay and Susan. The record book of Ina Fay and both of her daughters' record books contain 4-H projects, personal and club activities, photographs of club and project activities, and newspaper clippings.

Biography/Profile
Ina Fay Paul Kretschmar was born in Muscatine County, Iowa on March 12, 1909 to Henry and Mary Paul. She was a member of the Fulton Royal Workers 4-H club for 10 years from 1920-1930. Her eight year record won her a trip to the National 4-H Club Congress in 1927 and she was one of two Iowa girls to win a trip to the National 4-H Camp in Washington DC in 1928.
Ina Fay graduated from Muscatine High School 1927. She then taught at a rural school in Muscatine County for six year. On June 6, 1934 Ina Fay married Alfred E. Kretschmar. They had two daughters Kay and Susan Kretschmar. After her marriage, she was a substitute teacher in Davenport Community Schools for 10 years.
Ina Fay was a 4-H leader of the Fulton Royal Workers 4-H club for two years before she married. When her two daughters were old enough to be 4-H members, she organized the first 4-H city club in Davenport, Iowa called the Davenport Lassies, and was the leader for 10 years.
Ina Fay Paul has a block at the Plaza of Heroines outside Catt Hall at Iowa State University.
