Scope and Content

The collection is comprised of two series: series one contains the general records of the Iowa Chapter of FarmHouse Fraternity and series two consists of scrapbooks compiled by the fraternity. The general records of FarmHouse include the records of Lanthus, annual reports, newsletters, news clippings, and architectural plans of the fraternity house.

Abstract The Alpha Phi Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at Iowa State University was originally organized as Gamma Theta in 1909. Gamma Theta petitioned and received a charter from the Pi Kappa Alpha national fraternity and was installed as the Alpha Phi Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha on February 21, 1913.
